So I was going to write this blog about how I didn't think you could dress down peplums but looking through websites such as ASOS, Republic and Topshop I was so wrong! When peplum tops first came out they were very basic and the actual peplum was quite stiff. That first impression put me off because I thought there was no way you could make a peplum top look casual. Even though I think peplum skirts and dresses are still generally quite formal whatever the style, peplum tops have really become more casual which I like. They have some nice designs.
(ASOS - £52.50) (Republic - £10)
(Republic - £15) (ASOS - £35)

Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl aired its last ever episode recently. I've never actually watched a whole episode only seen pictures of the outfits and heard people talk about how nice they were. So I did some research and found out exactly how gorgeous some of the outfits were. I would describe Blairs style as preppy and vintage whereas I would describe Serena as a more high-end and sleek. Here's a look at some of what I think the most iconic outfits are from looking through a lot of pictures:
ASOS cardigan with heart elbow patches
With winter upon us its essential to wrap up, but its also, I think, the hardest season to be creative with your style. This cardigan from ASOS is so nice for winter.
Its nice and casual and comes in 4 different colours so you can really wear it with near enough anything. You could team it with a plain top and funky leggings or use it to dress down a dress. You could team it with chunky bracelets over the sleeve or a long statement necklace. The cardigan is only £25 and I think that's such a bargain as you can wear it in so many styles.

LFW catwalk presentation S/S 13
London Fashion Week was the 14th to the 18th of September this year. It was showcasing the S/S 13 trends and there was so many different and varied collections from a huge range of designers. The set-up and the backdrops for some of the collections were absolutely stunning and so I've compiled a few of them here for you. Enjoy!
This is Nasir Mazhar's collection and their backdrop is amazing. So fresh and quirky.
This is from Emilio de la Morena collection. I know you cant see much of the backdrop here but what you can see of it, is so elegant. The red satin curtain gives the impression of royalty and passion and the jumpsuit really stands out from the white wall.
This is from Anya Hindmarch collection. The backdrop is cardboard cutouts of cogs, chairs and tables. Its quite unique and funky and even though it is quite a cool and statement background it does not take the attention away from the products , thats why its so good.

Girls Aloud fashion evolution
It's been ten years since Girls Aloud were first formed on Popstars and their style sense has changed so much. In the first few years they mainly wore jeans and vests-quite casual clothing. Now though, they look so professional and sleek and even though their outfits are still quite casual they are upkeeping with the trends. They really have grown into their own style, not just with fashion but also with their hairstyles. Here's a look at some of their most iconic and *ahem* interesting outfits.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
When i was growing up Mary-Kate and Ashley werte my idols and i thought they had such good fashion sense. Heres a look at their fashion and hair evolution. They looked so innocent when they first started and in the first few images, when they were in their early teens, they looked absolutly flawless. As they got older I would say that their fashion sense has degraded and in the last picture they look about 20 years older than they actually are.

Kirsten Stewart
So some of Kirsten Stewarts can be quite ahem *interesting*. She is known to not like public appearances very much but still you should make a nice effort right?
This is her at the 'On the road' premiere wearing well basically underwear. Even though this does show off her long legs its a bit of a silly choice of clothes for the winter and its not very flattering. She looks awkward not just in the outfit but just generally on the red carpet-she looks like she doesn't want to be there. I think it also may be a size too small for her as her midriff is almost bulging out of it.
The dress is nicer than the other one and more flattering but Kirsten just cant pull it off. This is because her stance makes her look moody and she has that attitude of "I dont want to be here and take a picture and go away" She doesnt smile and clenching her fists does not help her, it makes it look even more awkward,
This is actually a real nice outfit. She pulls it off well and its quite simple but works really well. Well done her, I think she suits and looks more comfortable in trousers. She should wear trousers on the red carpet more often.
